MAI.
The cheapest train leaves Chiang Mai daily at
09:30 and arrives in Lamphun (1st stop) at 09:59. It is a little
slower than other trains and 3rd class only (Occasionally it will
have a 2nd class sit-up carriage)

COST:
Most guests have paid 5 Baht (1 Euro = 40 Baht approx) but, one
guest paid 10 Baht, hence we cannot say with certainty. Anomalies
do exist with ONE guests had to pay the entire fare to Bangkok
(300B 3rd Class) – for reasons we NEVER found out –
and we DID ask at the station
FROM ARCADE BUS STATION TO TRAIN STATION
WE WILL PICK YOU UP
AT THE RAILWAY STATION.
We have had more than 50 guests at
this house, most have used the 0930 train.
You are, of
course, free to choose ANY train, PLEASE PLEASE confirm your
plans, so that we can co-ordinate a pick up time with you.
We
would prefer you got the 0930 train for too many reasons to write
here.

Lamphun Railway
Station is one stop (17 minutes) from Chiang Mai. So many
options exist traveling by train from Bangkok that we rely
ENTIRELY upon you to inform us of your choice. AFTER you have told
us your choice - we can co-ordinate a pick up time with
you

Of course lots of other
options exist coming from many parts of Thailand, that we cannot
list all here - Busses in fact can bring you direct to our
sub-district (Pa Sang). Those of you with Thai language skills or
lot's of travel experience may choose one of these options. We can
pick up from Pa Sang terminal.

in this home, legal or otherwise. (we neither drink alcohol nor
smoke tobacco, but you may smoke outside if you wish).
However, if you need to use illegal drugs, or you are abusing
prescription drugs, we have no capacity to cope with your
addictions – we wish you well in rehabilitating yourself.
Social drinking of alcohol is absolutely, perfectly
fine. (BYO)
